“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
It can be so hard to speak up when you see injustice around you. No matter is too small when someone is being forced down. No person is too small when injustice is being done upon them.
We are examples for our children. They’re watching. The way that we treat them will be the way that they treat others.
Let’s show them that love is a verb, that everyone, no matter how small, is important and worthy of consideration. Small acts of parenting can have a big impact. It’s one of the reasons that we believe in what we do. Babywearing is a powerful way to show your child that they matter to you, that you want to include them in your life.
Inclusion in life as a baby will help them feel important and will, hopefully, motivate them to include others in the future.
We think our message supports Martin Luther King Jr.’s message. We are in awe of what he was able to accomplish in the face of such profound adversity. We want to provide the best foundation for our children so that they may one day go out into the world and fight important fights, right profound wrongs.
If it is their destiny, may our children achieve great things.
Babywearing for a better future? We think so.
